Original Ejector Seat Chair

Spotted on eBay this highly polished original Martin Baker Ejector Seat has been sympathetically mounted on a strong four-legged chrome stand and is therefore sufficiently robust to allow use as a chair. It has been fully cleaned and restored but safety concerns dictated that the firing mechanism be disarmed so you’ll have to set aside any thoughts of dramatically ejecting unwelcome guests from your dinner table!

This is a real statement piece that would look great in an office, games room or man cave!

Spotted on eBay for £8,250.00

Vintage Omegas

A couple of vintage Omegas caught my eye on eBay…

RCAF_OmegaFirst up is this wonderful piece of history – a genuine RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) Military Chronograph – originally owned by a RCAF pilot, shot down during combat – who survived the crash while wearing this watch! Just over 400 the watches were made. The watch has been recently serviced and keeps good time. You can get hold of a piece of history for $29,000 – not cheap – but where are you going to find another? eBay Link

1967SeamasterCosmicAutoA more affordable, but still eminently stylish option, is this 1967s Vintage, Seamaster Cosmic Automatic.  A bargain at just under £800 – bearing in mind this watch uses the legendary Cal 565 movement – one of the finest self-winding Automatic movement Omega’s ever made. The strap is a modern thick leather strap – but I think it sets the watch off nicely. eBay Link

Finally, for now, is another Seamaster – this one is New – but with the classic good looks of a vintage Omega. The 300M Spectre – Limited Edition – This watch is limited to 7,007 pieces world-wide to commemorate the 2015 James Bond film Spectre. It features a black baton dial housing Arabic numerals for 3,6&9, a back ceramic liquidmetal bi/directional bezel and ‘lollipop’ seconds hand. It is complete on a NATO strap but also comes with a stainless steel Seamaster bracelet. Comes in a spectacular box with all relevant paperwork including its certificate of authenticity. Collection in store is welcome – where the watch can be sized to your wrist. A shade over £8k. eBay Link

A little Omega History & Trivia
Omega was a major supplier of watches to large ministries of defense, especially during the 1st and 2nd World Wars. The company’s timepieces would go on to be used by the armed and special forces of British, France, Italy, USA, Norway, Sweden, Canada to name a few.

Important musicians including Elvis, Beatles members & Buddy Holly have been photographed wearing Omega watches including the Constellation range. World leaders such as JFK and Mikhail Gorbachev choice of watch. Pope John Paul II wore Omega watches.

Omega has four main vintage watch families today that are famous to everyone interested in the classic watches they are: Seamaster, Geneve, Constellation and De Ville. The Omega Seamaster was introduced in 1948. The De Ville version of the Seamaster featured a front-loading case where the access to the movement was gained through the front of the watch rather than the back. The Seamaster De Ville was available from 1963.

Omega watches tend to hold their value brilliantly and should actually increase in value over the n years as they become rarer and rarer. Buying a brand new watch is like a car, as soon as it leaves the premises the prices drops by at least 20%. A vintage watch in good condition and serviced by a Omega specialist is hard to find.

A leading American news commentator wrote an article regarding “Stealth wealth” – where this watch type is purchased by gentleman who tend to purchase things that are discrete and very sophisticated. Basically – a subtle way to show off the exquisiteness of good taste!

Rare Bremont Military Special Projects Watch

A Fantastic opportunity to purchase a superb special edition rare Bremont timepiece that was not available to purchase directly by members of the general public … making it valuable and collectable iconic watch that would compliment any watch collection beautifully.

Stunning and RARE 2017 Bremont ALT1-B 43MM DLC Coated watch. The watch was originally purchased directly from the Bremont Factory from the exclusive Military “Special Projects” division. Each of these Factory Ordered ALT1-B watches that were manufactured in this run of watches, were engraved with an individual name on the caseback in small white letters rather than a serial number. This particular watch is “Georgie” and this is recorded as the serial number for the watch in the Bremont “Special Projects” stamped warranty card provided. The watch was purchased in May 2017 so is less than a year old, this is confirmed in the accompanying paperwork. The watch is recorded and registered with Bremont for warranty purposes obviously.

The watch comes on an upgraded Bremont Hambledon Black Leather NATO strap with black DLC coated buckle and hardware. It also comes with spare used vintage Brown Hambledon NATO strap and a used Black/White stitched Canvas/Kevlar NATO strap.

It comes in its original outer box and luxury black bridal leather folding case/roll, complete with original Bremont strap changing tool as well as spare spring bars for the extra straps. Of course, the watch comes with all associated paperwork, stamped warranty, cert and instruction manual.

The watch shares it’s design, and is modelled on the watches worn by pilots of the well known Stealth Bomber Aircraft.
